BACKGROUND: Media, arts and popular culture can help educate people and engage them in addressing some of the critical issues facing our world. There are hundreds of examples of music, comedy, film, celebrity, literature, design etc. that have increased awareness of an issue or been a catalyst for change. From Hotel Rwanda (Film / War) and Ben Harper (Music / Justice) to the Toyota Prius (Product Design / Environment) and Jib Jab (New Media / Politics), media is inspiring us to take action and re-envision our world.

WE NEED YOU: Meaningful Media needs Interns and Research Assistants to help us launch
this summer a new, one-of-a-kind, online database of social issue media projects and resources.
Working with us, you will have the opportunity to work hands-on with the company leadership and get involved in building this web portal, spotlighting all the ways the creative community is making a difference. You are also encouraged to participate in relevant MM discussions on your media type, suggest approaches and strategies for the Database, and blog about what you are learning on the MM web site and in the newsletter.
